Want to know what it takes to be a lifeguard? Come and learn! Youth ages 11-15 will become stronger swimmers, learn some basic lifeguard rescues and water safety. They will be more prepared to take the lifeguard certification course at age 15.

Lifeguard Training
$185 Y-member, $225 non-member
The best job you will ever have! Perfect for young people, college students, stay at home parents, 2nd job seekers and retirees! Pre-Requisites-Must be 15 years old and able to pass a swim test the first day of class. All candidates must attend all class sessions. Course fees are waived for those employed by JC YMCA. Apply today!
Certification is valid for 2 years. For more information, Contact Aquatics Director, Lisa Dyer at 573-761-9007 or email at ldyer@jcymca.org. Each class will start in the classroom. Bring swim suit, towels and snacks. Class is held at Knowles YMCA indoor pool.
